Tinnitus

The most common symptom of tinnitus is ringing in your ears. At a minimum this is annoying, and can make it hard to hear everyday sounds. Severe tinnitus can be loud enough to keep you from sleeping, and can cause dizziness and nausea.

Ringing in your ears can be annoying — or unbearable.

In some cases, tinnitus symptoms can be caused or exacerbated by allergies and congestion in your nasal passages. More often, the symptoms are an indication of developing hearing loss. Either way, the smart thing to do is to have us test your hearing right away. Then we can discuss your treatment options.

Could your hearing loss be as simple as earwax?

Some people just make more earwax than others. Over time, wax builds up in your ear canal and can harden and become stuck, despite your best efforts to clean it out. Cleaning with swabs can actually make the situation worse by pushing the wax in deeper. You can’t feel this buildup, but it can lead to temporary hearing loss.

Call or text us to schedule a visit. We’ll check your ears and can unplug them right away, if need be.

Why wait? You don’t have to live with hearing loss.
